About the Book

This collection of poems narrates the perspectives of a 9-year-old girl towards the world from a different point of view. The isolated lockdown period proved to be the fountainhead of creative spirit to a number of budding souls, and the author is one among them. She has portrayed different happenings around her—where she should be a part of, but unfortunately she is not. In her view, kids and youngsters are the real heroes of the corona pandemic situation, who need the morning sunlight to start the drill and the golden ray of dusk to garland the playground. They were confined within the four walls of a ten square feet room.

Born on 7th Jan 2013, Srinika has grown up amidst the greenery of Keonjhar. She showed interest in literature at the age of 7 while studying in Standard II at Jajpur. She wrote several short stories and poems, which are published in online kids’ magazines during the pandemic period. She is an avid reader interested in the works of Mrs. Sudha Murty, Mr. Ruskin Bond, Mr. Manoj Das, and Mrs. Enid Blyton.
It is an endeavor by Miss Srinika Jena to unlock her sweet thoughts in the form of poems that waft out to the young and old, bringing the fragrance of literature.
